The Holly Oak ''Gorget''

Archaeological proof that Primitive Man is much older than we have been led to believe, or as most Historian cite, a forgery….The ‘’Holly Oak Gorget’’ (Pendant), was found during the construction of a Railroad Depot in Holly Oak, Delaware (US) in 1864. The Stone was shaped as a type (speculated) jewelry – often called a Gorget (a flat plate worn from the neck and associated with 18th Century Military Rank). The Stone piece featured carvings of what appears to be primitive Humans (Cavemen), hunting and even domesticating – Mammoths (a form of furred and extinct Elasphantine Animal). It is widely excepted that Man and Mammoth did NOT co-exist with one another. This piece was seen as proof otherwise. Later in the 1970s, an examination of The Gorget revealed that the ‘’Stone’’ may actually be fossilized Bone, even a portion of Mammoth Tusk. But, as stated – most Archaeologist cite that The Gorget was long seen as being a ‘’forgery’’ of 19th Century invention, to bring attention to the need for funding to finish the railroad Depot.
