A common and popular Myth in Brazil (and many other South American Countries), The Headless Mule is a cautionary tale for some. Legend tells of a Mule without a Head (with only Fire and Flame coming from it's Neck) galloping at supernatural speeds throughout the Jungles and Countryside. The Myth origins cite that a young Woman unwisely seduced a Young Priest into Sin. God was so angered that he cursed the Woman to wander The World for all Eternity. Seen as a Beautiful Girl, she will always turned into a Headless Mule. Her transformation only occurs on Thursday's when The Sun goes down until Friday Morning (with the rising of The Sun). Further, She must gallop to each Parish Church in the Area as a way of making amends. The Legend was used to promote Celibacy among The Clergy.
