A very strange portrait hangs from The Hotel Galvez in Galveston, Texas (US). It is of (then) Spanish Governor Bernardo de Galvez, who was Governor of Texas when it was under Spanish Control in the mid-18th Century. He supported American Independence against Great Britain and organized weapons shipments to the fledgling Army of The American Colonies. Rumor was that He was a ‘’cautious’’ Man who trusted very few People. A portrait commissioned by Him in the 1780s, hang in the Foyer of The Hotel. Still ‘’overly cautious and distrustful’’ – many Visitors to The Hotel noted that The Governors ‘’eyes’’ MOVE – following ‘’anyone’’ who passes. Some have said that the Portrait even ‘’blinks’’. Standing in front of The Painting too long and staring, is said to cause ''immense and shivering cold'’ to overcome One. As far as His ‘’eyes’’ most cite it is in tribute to The Artist skill rather than something ‘’paranormal’’……’’At Least That is What is Said……’’
