The American Comedian Joan Rovers was a well known fixture on Television for many decades. When young, She was among the first ''Female Comedians'' to break free of a ''Male dominated'' vocation and further to establish Herself as both Talk Show Host and Satirist well into Her older years. Her tragic and accidental death was a shock to many in 2014. But Joan, in addition to the many highs and lows of Her Life (a husband that committed suicide, etc), also had many ''Paranormal Experiences'' which She would eagerly talk about openly. These ''events'' centered around Her $28 Million (USD) Penthouse, located on 62nd Avenue – an exclusive ''address'' in Manhattan, New York. The Penthouse was build in 1903 and (with only 9 separate Units), was seen as a ''Wealth Class Apartment'' for late ''Gilded Age'' types. When Joan acquired The Penthouse, She stocked with with MANY pieces of Art and Fine Imported (18th and 17th Century Furniture). But is was when Joan decided to ''recover and hang'' an aged portrait of an ''elegant Lady'' in Her Foyer, that things began to go a ''little South'' – as it were.
While never witnessed by an independent source, Joan stated that the painting (found in The Penthouse storage), was of one ''Mrs. Spencer'' who lived in The Building many years hence. ''Spencer'' was said to be the Niece of 19th Century American Billionaire of Finance – John Pierpont Morgan (''JP''). The Daughter of Morgan's Sister, She lived an opulent life (every much as Joan did in later life). But other Owners removed The Painting years past (for ''unspecified reasons''), and Joan Herself wished to have Her Home to reflect it's original early 20th Century appearance. But the addition of The Portrait began to ''cause strange things to happen''. It was said that ''Mrs. Spencer'' loved to be the ''center of attention'' and and when when Guests refused to pay Her ''image'' any attention, glassware will mysterious break and items vanish (to found only later, in off locations).
But Joan (who said that She could ''feel a Female Presence in The Penthouse'' and readily linked to to the re-installation of The Painting. She also found that, everyday – IF She left ''fresh cut flowers'' directly under The Spencer Portrait – ''things would remain calm''. Joan also claimed to have had several Practitioners of ''Folk Magic'' attempt to ''cleanse'' The Penthouse of ''Spiritual Activity''. Regardless, after Joan's sad demise, Her Penthouse was sold to a Wealthy Middle Eastern. ''Mrs. Spencer'' was again removed and storage. Strangely, He had The Penthouse ''gutted'' and renovated to suit ''His'' taste. The Portrait has mysteriously vanished from storage.........For Now?
