The Harwinton Encounter

This sighting happened on July 15, 1995 in Harwinton, Connecticut. A Couple were driving back from Quarry Fishing . It was around 4 P.M. - and the Couple had just turned onto a small access road that led to the Highway. Upon turning, they saw a huge Silvery Object , hovering over the road to their front! They estimated the Craft to be around 100 feet in diameter. They could make out what appeared o be windows around the exterior of the Object. Somewhat aware of the UFO phenomenon, the Couple stopped their car just short of the Object. The Craft simply rotated in front of them. After perhaps 15 or 20 seconds, the Object slowly began to drift towards the woods (to their left). It appeared to be just inches from the treetops (but there was no movement from the branches). It slowly drifted out of their sight. They continued on their way and later reported the sighting.
