''The Grudge'' (''Kayako Saeki'') (2004)

The primary ''Baddie'' from ''The Grudge'' (''Ju-On'') Franchise of Japanese (and later American) Horror Films – ''Kayako Saeki'' first appeared in the Japanese 1998 version, with Her character being slightly re-imagined for The 2004 American Version. A ''Yokai'' (Ghost), She was once Human, who was mistreated by Her (insane) Husband (who killed Her and their young Son in a fit of rage over Her infidelity). As a Spirit, She craves revenge on those She deems responsible for Her plight. As is typical with the portrayal of Japanese Yokai – Kayako is shown with the ''traditional'' long stringy Black Hair (often obscuring Her gaunt and corpse-like face). Wearing a long White Dress, Kayako ''causes'' Her victims to go mad and commit suicide - thru fear.
