Another well known component to The Arthurian Legend is The Green Knight. Although his appearance was more closely linked to 14th Century Writers, he is an important component to The Grail Saga within Arthur's Legend. Some named him “Bredbeddle”, he was an “lesser” Knight who could not join The Round Table Order. He was cursed by Morgan Le Fe as The “Green Knight”. He is a powerful Being, who can shape-shift in the form of a beautiful woman to fool other Knights. His Green appearance is a puzzle that had never been fully explained. On common belief is that The Green Knight was a metaphor for The English Myths centering around The “Green Man” or “Protector of The Forest”, a very common belief in The Middle Ages. The “Green Knight” has also been associated with The Devil and as a Christian symbol, equally. He is often portrayed as courteous but mysterious. He normally does not speak and can be both friend or foe, as some Writers have portrayed him.
