Odd Title for a very question document, the so-called papyrus fragment known as ‘’The Gospel of Jesus’ Wife’’, is a claimed artifact dating to perhaps the 4th Century AD. ‘’Found’’ in Egypt decades prior – but not released until 2012, the ‘’missive’’ claimed to have been ‘’said’’ (dictated) by none other than Jesus Christ, identified ‘’Mary Magdaline’’ (a Follower of Christ), as ‘’His Wife’’. Naturally, this relic would have ‘’turned on the ear’’ of Christianity concerning the ‘’Human Nature’’ of Christ. But the origins and authenticity were called into question when language experts cite the phrasing in more consistent with 6th Century AD syntax and not the 4th Century (or prior). Those detractors state that IF authentic, the fragment was perhaps more from The Gnostic Belief System than anything else.
