Discovered in New South Wales, Australian in 1975, The ‘’Gosford Glyphs’’ were at first (and still are to some), a piece of perplexing archaeological artifacts. Over 300 symbols were inscribed onto a series of stones, which upon first sight – were of Ancient Egyptian origins. Dating (by style) to around 1,250 BC – many thought that The Glyphs were proof that Ancient Egyptian Seafarers made contact with Australia (a feat not to be believed by most). To those who speculate, it was thought that thousands of years ago, Egyptians may have shipwrecked on the Continent and carved their ‘’story’’ onto the stones. In reality, many state that Australian soldiers may have really carved the images in the 1920s (when Egyptology was at it’s height). Others still cite, that the images were carved by Ancient Aborigine Tribesmen, whose carving were said to be similar. The debate still rages………..
