From 1817 until 1819, hundreds (if not thousands) of Sailors from around The World (coupled with untold hundreds of land based reports from everyday people), off The Coast of Gloucester, Massachusetts – reported a massive ‘’Sea Serpent’’. Hundreds of feet long, The Creature was said to be a ‘’shiny black, with many humps extending throughout The Beast’’. So well documented, The ‘’Sea Serpent’’ has become one of the most reported cases of a possible Cryptid. And while, owing to the technology of the Day (or lack of), only hand drawn pictures are known to exist.  In fact, in 1818 – a group of Citizens on a local Massachusetts beach, ‘’found’’ what They concluded to be an ‘’offspring’’ of The ’’Serpent’’. This specimen was close to 5-feet long and a ‘’miniature’’ of it’s ‘’Parent’’.  But after Scientists of The Era examined the animal, they concluded that it was a common Eel (perhaps). After 1819, sightings rapidly decreased, but as late as the mid-1960s, Shipping in the area still reported seeing ‘’something’’ resembling a ‘’Sea Serpent’’.
