A 1959 British Horror/Sci-Fi B&W film, The Giant Behemoth is (or was), a prehistoric creature (40 feet tall and 60 feet long) looking like a cross between A T-Rex and a Brontosaurus. Preserved in the mud of The Thames River, radioactive wash and contamination from Nuclear tests have resurrected it. 100 percent radioactive (it also glows underwater, nice touch) anyone coming near the creature suffers fatal dose exposure. Further, the creature eats by regurgitating a slimy liquid on it's food source (which is corrosive and will burn right through you). Attacking London, The British Military wants to blow up the creature. However doing so (so say the Scientists) will contaminate London for centuries. Lured under water, a Submarine fires a Nuclear tipped torpedo at The Beast. The resulting over-exposure is too much and the creature dies. FUN FACT Willis O'Brien who created the stop-motion effects for the original King Kong in 1933, also did so for The Behemoth .
