 A well known and "classic" Ghost Story (or perhaps a tale of "time travel", the incident occurred in 1901. Three British ladies were on a tour of The Palace of Versailles. The palatial Palace home of France's King Louis XVI and his wife, Marie Antoinette. Walking from room to room of the magnificent structure, the three crossed over into a Great Hall. Almost immediately, the three felt an intense cold and stayed they felt "light headed". As the women got their bearings, they noticed that the room was full of men and women in 18th Century apparel. Thinking them Actors, perhaps rehearsing for a play, the women seemed to be "ignored" by the "people". As the women looked closer into the "group", they noticed a woman who resembled none other than Madame Antoinette herself. The three women turned and left the room. Later, upon finding a tour guide, they inquired as to when the "play" was going to be performed. The guide had no idea as to what the three were talking about. When they told the Guide of the costumed people they had seen, he politely informed them of no such Staff! Similar encounters have been reported in 1908, 1928 and 1955. There may have been more - not reported. Did the women Cross into some other "dimension" (however brief) and see "real" Ghosts of the Past
