Spitalfields, East End London. Perhaps better known as part of The Whitechapel District and better yet, a former ''hunting grounds'' of the ''Fiend of Whitechapel'', none other than ''Jack The Ripper''. Much of this section of London bears no resemblance to The City of 1888. Even ''expert'' Students of ''Saucy Jack'' have to work hard to ''find'' anything structurally related to The Era. However one location still remains (in kind). This is The Ten Bells Public House or Pub. While the Establishment has ''moved'' from one block and street to another in The East End a Pub by this name has existed in the general area since 1755. It's original name was ''The Eight Bells'' but this was changed to ''The Ten Bells'' around 1794. According to Legend, The ''Ten Bells'' was the popular Pub mentioned most often in Ripperology. It is claimed that victims Annie Chapman and Mary Kelly spent much of their ''non-working'' time as Prostitutes there. Both were supposedly last seen at The Ten Bells before they were murdered and ''walked into History'' (as it were). From a point between 1976 and 1988 The Ten Bells even changed it's name to ''The Jack The Ripper'' Pub (but a Court Order required them to change it back!)

While no one has conclusively identified any Spirit as those of either Ripper Victim, there are those who ''swear'' they still ''roam'' The Pub )according to some Mediums). Photographs taken of the outside of The Pub can even been found with ghostly ''figures'' (dress in late Victorian Fashion, of course). Most of these are seen as hoaxes by most as a means of spurring Tourism. However many ''sensitive'' to such phenomenon cite that the feelings of dread experienced in The Ten Bells are genuine. Perhaps they are....................
