As we have examined, many Cemeteries are a natural spot for Hauntings and other Ghostly Phenomenon. El Campo Cemetery in San Diego, California is one that is well known for all of the above. First built as a Pioneer Cemetery for early American Settlers to The San Diego Area, the first recorded buried there was in 1849. Residences and Neighborhoods grew up around El Campo. As such, people park their private vehicles on the Street. However, one does this afternoon their own risk. You see, the closer one parks to The Cemetery, the more mechanical problems one will have. Regardless of it s condition, until one s car is well away from The Cemetery, it will suffer something mechanically wrong.
This brings us to another well known Resident , very pretty Girl. This is not unusual in California. She is seen on somewhat provoking Clothing, walking up and down the Street (day or night). She appears distraught and acts as if She neither sees or hears you . This is because she is dead. It is speculated that this Girl was once a Prostitute in the 1950s. Denied burial at El Campo, she wanders the Streets still outside The Cemetery. In addition to Ghost Lights (Orbs), another famous Resident wad known as Yankee Jim . In the 1860s, Jim was a well known but relatively harness Petty Theft. The City of San Diego only had one Harbor Rowboat. Coming up missing one day, all knew it was Jim. Captured, he was sentenced to be hung. The sentenced was carried out.
Later it was learned that Jim did not in fact steals The Rowboat. It had spring and leak and sunk. Thus wronged, Yankee Jim is said to enter your home and take a small item. It is said that when he is exonerated, the thefts will stop. El Campo features many other unusual Spooks that are not Evil, simply mischievous. Many come from all over to hopefully catch a glimpse of the unknown.
