It goes without saying that the very names of Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker (aka "Bonnie and Clyde"), can still illicit images of what was called "The Golden Age of Gangsters" in 1920s-1930s America. Together with names like Dillinger, "Baby Face" Nelson or Although Capone, these were the products of a America torn by The Great Depression and Prohibition Laws. Although not well known or even prolific Criminals, Bonnie and Clyde's exploits became the stuff of the growing trend in America of "Yellow Journalism". They became famous - even romanticized as "Robin Hood-type" Anti-Heroes. During their series of Crimes (Bank Robberies) from 1932-1934 the self-titled "Barrow Gang" (Clyde, his Brother and Sister-in-Law, Bonnie and a close friend), were known to have killed 13 people (mostly Law Enforcement). Finally ambushed in 1934 outside of Beinsville Parish, Louisiana by 20 Police Officers, some 2,000 rounds were fired into Bonnie and Clyde while they sat in their Ford V8 Automobile. A relief to Law Enforcement, their deaths cemented their legend.....and the subsequent Ghost Stories that follow.
There are several Bonnie and Clyde "sightings" most cited in the Paranormal. The first involves the reputed and so named "Death Car". The Vehicle is said to be the same Ford that The Duo were killed in, complete with bullet holes. Privately purchased on the 1940s, The Car was a Tourist Attractions for many years, before being purchased by The Owners of "Whiskey Pete's" Casino in Primm, Nevada. Many report feelings of "dread" when they stand near the Car. Also, there are many photos taken of the automobile, some with unexplained "images" that appeared inside or those of "Orbs".
Another, deals with a Shrine erected at the spot of the ambush in 1934. Visited for years by the curious, many have chipped away at the stone for souvenirs. Others are content with a simple photo. Day or might, most report strange and unexplained "Mists" and "Orbs" that appear. The final tale cones from Old Spring, Texas (near Houston). The one-tone Springfield State Bank wad robbed several times by The Barrow Gang, once involving a gun battle. Eventually closed, it was renovated into Space for small businesses. Contractors decided to leave the many bullet holes out of "history". Unfortunately, businesses have a hard time staying, due to a heavy Poltergeist activity which is often reported. Photography really might in 2002, Motion Sensor cameras were activated to reveal (when enhanced), clearing show a "Man and Woman in 1930s style Clothing". Perhaps it us,Bonnie and Clyde come back to attempt a "3rd Robbery"!
