In August of 1388, an major battle was fought during The Scottish Wars of Independence. The Battle of Otterbern was a large scale incursion into England by The Scottish Army. And while a success, it coat The Scots 2,000 dead – many left on the field. By and large – The English refused to bury the soldiers, letting them rot. It was 500 years later, that a rather strange tale came from two Farmers – working near the site of the Medieval Conflict. It was early morning, with the sun just coming up. The Farmers began to hear the sounds of ''great clanking of metal and steel, and the tramping of hundreds of feet'' Horse, whispering Men – all sounds gave evidence of a ''large Army'' passing very near. But for the life of The Farmers, they could not see anyone. As the Farmers approached a slight Hill (which was near the exact site of the 1388 Battle, they began to hear ''clashing metal, horses at the gallop and great screams, as if some terrific battle was being fought'', The closer to the Hilltop they climbed – the louder the noises got. When the two finally reached the top and looked over – expecting to see a ''great row'', they saw nothing. Even the noises just ''stopped''.
Again in 1960, another Person – this time driving on a service road near the same location that The Farmers were, ''heard'' similar noises. The closer He got, the louder it became. But unlike The Farmers, the Motorist said that the noises just stopped short of Him exiting His vehicle to investigate. In another ''sighting'' dating to 1970 – a Witness actually ''saw'' ''hundreds of Medieval Soldiers and Horses, moving towards Otterbern over the same field that was trice reported. The Man thought that He was witnessing the making of a historical movie, and thought nothing of it. Perhaps the ''energy'' of that fateful day did not vanish – but was simply absorbed into the Earth, causing a Paranormal ''rip in Time'' – in which Medieval Soldiers still fight, for eternity – The Battle of Otterbern.
