The ''Warner Theater'' was one of ''Old Hollywood's'' great Venues for Film Premieres. Built in 1928, it was one of the first to show a ''Talkie'' (Film with Sound). Later, The Theater would catch the eyes of The Warner Brothers, who purchased The Business. They showed (first run), many of some of Hollywood's ''Greatest Films''. In fact, when Warner Brothers brought a local Radio Station, they placed it's massive relay Towers on the Roof. The Theater was also one of the very few to be large enough o accommodate The ''Cinerama'' (Wide Screen). But when The Warner Brothers sold their concern, it appears that ''Ole Sam'' never quite ''gave up The Ghost'' as far as ''attending Openings'' of Films. Dying (of possible Cerebral Stroke) in 1927 (after pouring His very ''Soul'' into rushing the Production of the Classic Film ''The Jazz Singer''), strange things began to happen. With every Showing between 1928 and 1994 (the closing of The Theater), ''Sam'' has been ''felt'' and even'' seen'' inside. He had a ''Private Box'' that NO OONE dared to sit in. IF ''Sam'' didn't ''like a Movie'', The projector would mysteriously ''break down''. Many Staff thru the years reported ''seeing a Tall and commanding Man'' walking on the 2nd Floor (both where His Private Box and small Office was located''. When closed due to structural issues, the ''History'' of The Theater saved it from destruction and removal. Turned into a ''State Historic Location'', Tours are often scheduled. BUT, no one is allowed onto The 2nd Floor......except perhaps ''Sam Warner''.
