The ''Sweet Lady Jane's'' Bakery (and Restaurant) is a popular Franchise in the local Los Angeles, California Area. The original Store on Melrose Avenue would lead to several other locations. But it is the original Site which is of interest. Before the Bakery was....it was The Ma Hotel. A popular spot for the ''avant garde'' of early Hollywood (1920s and 1930s), it was the favorite spot of legendary Director and Actor Orson Welles. Noted for His Direction and Acting in the Classic Film ''Citizen Kane'' and the earlier Radio Program called ''War of The Worlds'' (which sent the whole Nation into a panic in the 1930s, thinking that an actual Alien Invasion had happened) – ''loved'' His food and drink (Welles would become a very obese Man in later years). He liked the ''atmosphere'' of The Ma, and often spent many hours outside on the Terrace of the Old Hotel, drinking wine. Apparently however, ''Welles'' still likes to ''visit'' – even though the Hotel was long ago renovated into it's current state. Since 1985, a ''Large Man, in a White suit, wearing a large Fedora (a signature of Welles) – is often ''seen sitting at a back table''. Sometimes, glasses of ''half glasses of wine'' are found on tables, when no Staff or Patrons placed it there. Finally, the ''smell of sweet tobacco'' is present – another sign that Welles may still be present, enjoying ''The Afterlife''.
