In The Township of West Milford, New Jersey (US) is a stretch of road which goes over Clinton Brook (or rather River). Also named Clinton Bridge, a Ghost Story developed around the 1950s – and continues to this very day. Locals tell that a 12-year old boy was either playing on or sitting on The Bridge – when a fast moving vehicle came across. Fearing He would be struck, The Boy supposedly jumped from The Bridge to avoid being hit. Unfortunately, He hit the water and drowned. As The Legend goes, IF a person likewise is on The Bridge when a Car or Truck comes by (on The Bridge of course) – ''something'' will push you off (as if trying to protect you). This is seen as The ''Ghost Boy''.
