The Fort Stockton Incident

Truly a Close Encounter , this Case was said to have happened over Fort Stockton, Texas (US) on March 14, 1974. It was well documented (and likewise, well buried!). On the day in question, it was a clear, warm day in the little Town of Fort Stockton. The Town (with a population of only about 1,000), was the type of small Texas Town where everybody knew everyone else . A Delivery Truck driver had pulled up to his scheduled stop at the Town Grocery Store. Looking pale when he entered, he told the Store's employee's to come outside . Curious, some followed. When they got outside, the driver pointed up over the Store. There, hovering about 300 feet up in the sky was a Bat-shaped, Silvery Object . It was just hovering over the store in broad daylight!. The Object was reported to be over 100 yards in size. Amazed and in awe, people began to come out of other businesses and all saw the same sight. Described as having no windows or lights (seen) of any kind this Boomerang rose up higher in the sky, and started to move slowly OVER MAIN STREET. After several minutes, this Object ascended to a much higher altitude but DID NOT GO AWAY. It seemed intent on being seen! It stayed in the area of Fort Stockton for several more hours before just disappearing. Other reports of the 'Boomerang were made from surrounding Towns. No military involvement was recorded.
