The Forseen Death of Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of The United States, is perhaps best known for His Administration during The American Civil War (1861-1865). Preserving The Union and emancipating the Slaves, He would go down in US History as one it’s most beloved Executives. Assassinated on April 14th 1865 while attending a Play with His Wife and several Guests – Lincoln Himself proclaimed His very death – several weeks before His actual demise….in a Dream! Lincoln told Associates (who wrote down the recurring dream), that when He dreamed, He awoke in a ‘’Dark Room’’. Filled with mourners, they all were centered around a casket on a raised platform. Joining the Guests as they filed by to pay respects, Lincoln looked down into the coffin – only to see Himself – in repose. The Guests were crying and showed great remorse. Lincoln reported dreamed this particular event every night leading up to His assassination on the night of April 14th. In fact, He was even asked NOT to attend The Play. But Lincoln, despite His premonition, was determined to attend – if for nothing else than to show Himself after The Northern victory of The War. He ‘’felt’’ by doing so – it would provide strength to The American People and prepare them for the monumental task which lay ahead…Reconstruction.
