The Flora Encounter

Flora, Mississippi (US) February 10, 1977. 2 Madison County Deputy Sheriff's were on routine patrol of the Region, when they had anything but a routine encounter with an Alien Craft. Looking out the window, the passenger Deputy noticed a somewhat brighter than normal Star on the horizon. Thinking little of it, he began to notice the Light becoming closer and closer to the moving patrol car. Soon, he began to make out a distinct form and shape to the Light . It was Saucer-shaped! His Partner slowed down the car (seeing the light as well). They pulled over to the shoulder of the road, turned off their engine and watched. They both stated they could hear what sounded like a Blender, whirling in the air . Suddenly, the Craft was directly over their car! They estimated the Craft was around 30 to 40 feet long and definitely appeared to be controlled . While hovering the Craft changed colors several times (from Red to Green and then back into the White light they had seen before). The Object then suddenly took off to The North . The Deputies reported the encounter, but no one really believed them. Someone within The Department leaked the story to the Press, who tried to interview the 2 Officers. Both refused to talk, and when pressed downplayed the encounter . Several other reports from Residents in the outer portion of The County tell of a Red and Green Light flying in the sky at (or after) the2 Officers initial contact.
