The Flatwoods Monster

   The Flatwoods Monster was seen but once in 1952. It made quite an impression. The sighting came at a time when America was just starting to watch The Skies (seeing UFOs and Aliens everywhere). Most of those cases are explainable. Other, well...... Enter this tale from Braxton County, West Virginia (US). Many people from the Town of Flatwoods saw or heard something that night. The Flatwoods case is considered one of the first Close Encounters of The Third Kind in America. On the night in question, a glowing Object crashed into the woods near Flatswood. Upon investigation by two local Farmers, they reported seeing a 7-foot tall Metallic creature that had glowing eyes that emitted red beams. The creature appeared to float about 1-foot off the ground on a bed of smoke . Further, it had a long silver pole-like arms that had blue electric sparks coming out from where it's hands should be. It was estimated to be 7 to 10 feet tall. The Farmers ran for help. Soon after (attracted by the light show of the crashed Object) other towns people came to the woods. Their description of The Monster differed. They claimed that the creature appeared to be wearing a black robe-like apparel. This version of the creature had more human-like arms with claws. The creature floated as well, but had a bad odor. Running in panic, when Authorities came to properly investigate, they found no trace of the Monster , but found strange burn marks in the ground.
