The Ellisworth Case was one of the most significant UFO sightings in history. It was the first known time that actual Radar proof was presented as proof of Extraterrestrial Craft. On August 6, 1953 - at 8 P.M. - reports of a glowing Red Ball/Object , was reported zig zagging across Bismarck, North Dakota (US). Hundreds of ground reports and Private Pilots reports were coming in that The US Air Force launched an Intercept Flight to investigate. (4) F-86 Fighters operating at 15,000 feet reported that they had visuals on the Object. IT appeared to be moving back and forth in a large arch pattern . Air Control identified not only The Intercept Flight BUT the Object on their equipment as well! After several hours of observing the Objects (and oddly receiving no instructions on bringing the Craft down - The Craft ascended to 30,000 feet within seconds. Ordered to observe at a distance , the Fighters watched the Object slowing disappear into the night sky above them. The Ellisworth Case (named after the Fighters Home Base) is one of the very few listed as officially unidentified .
