First mentioned in the 17th Century AD – the curiously ''out of place'' Artifact known as The Eiserner Mann Post. Located in The Kottenforst-Ville National Forest of Germany, the strange item is a massive, 7-foot tall iron Post. Crudely formed, it is said to date to before The Iron Age – or roughly 500 BC. The casting and work is NOT consistent with the technology then current in The Region (and would not be for thousands of years). Bearing no inscriptions, later examination found the Post if made of smelted ''Pig'' (crude) Iron which may have been poured into a ground (earth carved) mold. Some cite that the Post may have been a Territorial Marker (as would have been common in The Middle Ages). Some still cite that the Post has been misidentified and not properly dated. Still, if in fact this Artifact is in fact Eons old, ''who'' cast it or better yet...''who showed'' Pre-Iron Age craftsmen ''how'' to make it?
