Also known as The Magical ‘’Mechanical Horse’’, is a ‘’Foundation Tale’’ prominent in Persian Arabian and Byzantium Literature, possibly as far back as the 1^st AD. Later found in other Cultures, to include Europe – The ‘’Ebony Horse’’ is a Tale concerning a Prince – min love with a Princess. Her Father (either a Vizier or Shah) refuses a marriage, and secrets Her into a Fortress. The saddened Prince contracts a ‘’Master Craftsman and Inventor’’ to solve His dilemma. The Craftsman constructs the mechanical ‘’device’’ – which resembles a Horse. Capable of ‘’great speed and strength’’, in some versions, The Horse can ‘’fly’’ (with wings) or is propelled via a ‘’pillar of air’’. The Prince uses The Device to rescue His Princess and escape. Found in both ‘’1001 Arabian Nights’’ and (mentioned) in ‘’Ai Baba’’ – some think that ‘’The Horse’’ was a real invention – manufactured from Ancient Persian ‘’Forbidden Knowledge’’ (or ‘’Lost Knowledge’’), as well as being ‘’powered by Alchemy.
