Regardless of your opinion (if you’ve seen it) – 1975s ‘’The Devil’s Rain’’ is a classic piece of 70s Horror Genre. A ‘’B’’-Film of Drive-In Movie Fare, many disliked the film – but just as many loved it and elevated it to a Cult Status (pun intended). Actually well filmed, it starred several very well known Hollywood and Television Actors (William Shatner included!) The Film plots to a Cult of Satanists in Colonial America, led by an evil Leader, Jonathan Corbis. He keeps His Cult under lock and key with the goal of bringing forth a Demonic Era called ‘’The Devil’s Rain’’. Corbis traps the Souls of His Minions in an ancient receptacle and uses Their power for His own. Betrayed by one of His Followers, He is captured and burned at The stake as a Witch. He curses the Family that betrayed Him (as well as Their descendants). Fast forward to ‘’today’’ (or at least 1975) – in The Arizona Desert, Corbis has resurrected Himself and Him Cult. His goal is the same, bring forth The Devil’s Rain and exact revenge against His former enemies.  Exceptional special effects, in particular when Corbis Cult ‘’melts’’ at the end when The Rain hits Them, The Film was one of the first to use noted (and infamous) Satanist Anton Levey as ‘’technical advisor’’ (He is even credited as such). Okay, it’s till silly 1970s ‘’clap trap’’, but ‘’The Devil’s Rain’’ is still worth a chill or two and worth a watch!
