At barely 1-Hr. In length, the Short Horror-Musical ''The Devil's Carnival'' was released in limited run in 2012. Although easily a ''B''-Film, it was well filmed and staged for what ''it was''. Clever and inventive, The Film took several premises of The Ancient Greek ''Aesop's Fables'' to serve as cautionary tales. Apparently, Hell is shown as a ''2-bit, Side Show Carnival'' with Satan and a few ''hand picked'' Demons, used to torment Souls. In particular are three ''new arrivals''. A Man who committed suicide over the loss of His Child, a Woman who is a Thief who foolishly brandishes a Gun to Police and was killed and a young and naive Girl who allowed a possessive boyfriend end Her life when she tried to leave. They all end up in the creepy and ''drug induced'' Carnival. The ''Thief'' is conned out of all Her ill gotten goods, leaving Her naked and exposed. When Her ''Dignity'' is stolen – she will spend Eternity being ''whipped in Public''. Our ''Trusting and Naive'' Girl, is again attracted to an unsavory sort, who eventually kills Her. She will spend Eternity damned to experience such stupidity and betrayal over and over again. Our final ''Soul'' searches The Carnival of The Damned, trying to find His ''missing Son''. We learn it was His error to watch His Son in Life, that led to The Boys death. Finally able to accept His loss as His fault, He abandons Grief. This annoys The Devil, who can no longer ''use'' this to torment Him for all Eternity. As such, Satan ''gives Him a Pass'' and sends The Man to Heaven. This gives The Devil.....an idea. Why not ''change The Rules'' of Heaven and Hell by offering all Damned Souls the chance at redemption if they wish it. The Devil decides to ''flood Heaven'' with a ''population explosion''. He tells His Demons to ''prepare for War''. The Film was very popular and would lead to a Full Length Feature Film in 2015 called ''Alleluia!...The Devil's Carnival'' – which explores the long term effects of The Devil's decision. Very clever and well worth the time.
