French Folklorist and self-professed ‘’Demonologist’’ Jacques DePlancy is credited with compiling several source works dealing with Demons and The Hierarchy of Hades. Dating to the mid-19th Century AD, DePlancy ‘’fleshed out’’ a ‘’dark and foreboding World’’, set up – very much as a Medieval Kingdom. ‘’Knights’’, ‘’Dukes’’ and most positions of Authority were assigned in His works. And while Arcane Scholars cannot miss the fact that many of these ‘’descriptions and tales’’, may very well have been ‘’contrived’’, they are no less fascinating to read. Which leads us to The ‘’Demonic Order of The Fly’’. Like most Medieval Orders of Chivalry, Hell it seems (in DePlancy’s World) – has it’s own ‘’Knightly Order’’. The qualifications of award are not known, but it seems to have been bestowed upon by Satan Himself, and only for ‘’Leaders of Great Worth’’ to Him (at least). Most Demonic Leaders of Legions have The Order so awarded. The Fly, an insect noted for it’s ‘’need’’ to habitant in ‘’great filth’’ – is the selected ‘’Heraldic Symbol’’ for The Order.
