The name of a mythical Entity – most associated with ''The Great Old Ones'' – ''The Color'' (also known as ''The Color Out of Space'', was a 1927 Short Story penned by HP Lovecraft. The Sci-Fi/Horror Thriller deals with a resident of The Town of Arkham, Massachusetts – who one day witnesses a Meteorite crash in some adjacent woods. Upon investigation, he finds that everything around Him is being overcome by a strange, otherworldly ''Light Source'', He calls ''The Color''. Slowly, all around Him is becoming enveloped and ''replaced'' with strange and often horrifying ''versions'' of what ''they used to be''. This effect causes those who are incapable of ''joining with'' The Color to go completely insane. The Color may be a Messenger from ''The Great Old Ones'' primordial Deities banished to another dimension and bent of returning to their ''rightful control'' over Humans and Earth – or The Color may simply be an Alien invader – set to ''remake our World'' into something more habitable for ''It''. An intriguing Story, it would be made into several Film versions – starting in 1965 and ending with a 2019 ''The Color Out of Space''. The Color, is said to ''resemble'' every color in the spectrum, both seen and unseen. ''It'' can also assume many shapes and guises – making it akin to an Extraterrestrial ''shapeshifter'' of sorts.
