The Clinton Temple

In yet another reason why The State of New Jersey is a Mecca for ''Urban Legends'' – this Tale involves what is known as ''The Druid Temple''. Many Locales (and Tourists) for the last 40-years since it's discovery – made a pilgrimage into the deep and often dangerous woods around The Township of Clinton. The ''Temple'' is a strange pyramid of hand hewn stone bricks, standing in the ''middle of nowhere''. Quickly said by some to be an Ancient Druid or Wiccan Site – strange activities have always been reported there. From ''Satanic'' and Pagan Rituals in the late night, to sightings of strange ''Creatures and Beings'', The Temple is also said to be an ''Entrance'' into The ''Otherworld''. I reality, the ''pyramid'' is said to be nothing more than an iron Smelter Furnace from the 19th Century. Although no one is quite sure on just ''who'' owned it, when it was in operation or even when activities stopped. The Township decided to surround the structure in fencing and cap off the Smelter.....out of an ''abundance of caution''..............
