Initially known as ‘’Twisting’’ (an off shoot of the previously discussed ‘’Cording’’) – the European translation of ‘’Chinese Swing’’ would become more known. The practice, seen as a method of extracting information, involved The Victim being suspended from a wooden or metal frame. His or Her legs and arms were bound and likewise connected to The Frame. Different positions would be used. The ‘’Administrator’’ of this Method (and Assistants), would attach wooden handles to the slack of the ropes or binding. As they turned these handles, tensile pressure would be asserted to targeted body parts. As the compression grew, so too did the pain. Different locations could be targeted at the same time if needed.
