The Cherry Creek ''Landing''

A very strange encounter happened to The Butcher Family on August 19, 1965. Diary Farmers by trade, the small New York Town of Cherry Creek had been Home for generations. One of The Butcher's Son was working in The Cow Shed, using a mass milking machine to extract milk. He did this daily, listening to the News on His portable radio. It was around 820 PM, when The Boy noticed that His radio began to crackle and fade out. Further, the milking machine simply stopped (as did The Shed's lighting. The Boy could hear other Cows out in the exterior corals sounding as if in distress. He quickly got up to see what was the matter.

As the Boy exited The Shed, He beheld something He had never seen before. A ''long, oval-shaped Object'' was slowing flying over The Farm. The Boy said that the Object appeared '' Silver in color''. A ''Red Hued vapor'' was evident underneath The Craft when it appeared to ''hover'', while a ''Yellow bean seemed to come from The Rear of The Object when it moved forward''. Staring at The Craft for several minutes, The Craft ''darted up into The Sky, straight up into a dense cloud cover''. The Boy noticed that a ''Greenish Glow'' was seen coming from The Clouds. The excited Boy ran home to find and tell His Family. But The Family's take goes on..........

When The Boy went inside to tell His parents, they naturally came out into the front yard to ''see the Green cloud''. But as The Family went outside, The Object had returned! This time, the Object was ''circling The Farm'' as if ''looking for a place to land!'' The Object continued to circle The Farm and then after 10-minutes, drifted off toward a large wooden Region to The North of the property. The Family stated later to Investigators that the ''Craft appeared to land in The Woods''. They went inside and called the local State Police (who responded).

However, a check of the area, found nothing out of the ordinary. But when the Troopers checked The Woods, they did fins several ''things'' that were odd. They in turn contacted The Military. The very next day (4) Members of The US Air Force arrived at The Farm. They questioned all Family Members involved and asked to be taken to The Wooded Area that the Craft reported ''landed''.

The Butchers took The Investigators to The Woods, although unclear of just where The Craft landed. The Investigators, once in the general location, l began to use what Mr. Butcher determined were Giger Counters (for radiation). The Investigators ''followed'' what was probably residual radiation to the supposed landing site. Mr. Butcher followed. Once there, Butcher saw what appeared to be a ''large scorched area on the ground''. Further, The Investigators appeared to be ''collecting a kind of purplish goo from the ground''. The Investigators said nothing to Butcher ''watching them''. After they had finished, they thanked Mr. Butcher. The Family never heard from The Government again.
