Another well known and documented Case of haunting comes from Ancient Greece. In the City of Chaeronea, Boeotia, Greece, Public Baths were common (as they were throughout Ancient Greece). However the Public Baths at Chaeronea had been haunted for many years, by the Ghost of a Patron, allegedly murdered there. The reason for his demise were lost to time. However, The Ghost of the man was said to wander the Baths, shrieking and screaming nightly. The disturbance became so bad, that many moved from the Town. The Case even caught the ears of noted classical biographer and historian Plutarch, who investigated it in the 1st Century A.D. He documented the haunting. After so many "sleepless nights", The Townspeople decided to seal all windows answer entrances to the Baths. Soon after, the cries and groans ceased.
