August 13th 1960 was a day to never be forgotten to two California Highway Patrol Officers. Working out of Corning, California – the two Officers were bored and waiting for that ''big ticket'' encounter. What they really encountered was something ''not of This World''. One of the Officers noticed a ''shimmering Silver Cylinder'' descend from the sky – and hover above the High Desert. Curious that the Craft was perhaps some form of ''experimental'' aircraft, the Officer approached via Patrol Car. As they did however, coming to within 200-feet, they realized the Object was a ''40-foot in circumference Disc''. The Craft appeared to be suspended upon ''2 tripod extensions, coming from underneath The Craft''. It bore no markings whatsoever, but emitted a sort of ''low hum''. As the awe struck Officers stood in wonder, the Craft's ''legs'' simply disappeared into the Craft'' and it ''shot straight up and out of the view of the Officers. Neither reported the encounter until they retired from The Force in the late 1970s (and volunteered their incredible tale to a National UFO Reporting Agency).
