The Brocken Spectre

 Many state that The Spectre is nothing more than a trick of light (often in mountainous regions). Reported since the 1780s around The Harz Mountains (Germany), people report a large shadowy figure floating in the sky. The figure cannot be traced to any ground explanation or source. The Brocken has been reported as recent as 2010. Some say that The Brocken is the spirit of a mountain climber that died on a climb. His body was never recovered and it is said he will haunt The Hartz Mountains until his body is found and given a proper burial.
