The so named ‘’Brandenburg Stone’’ was discovered in Brandenburg, Kentucky (US) in 1912 (by a Farmer clearing His fields of stone debris). The Stone bore markings which were claimed to be ‘’Welsh’’ in origins and over 1,500 years of age. When partially deciphered – The Stone mentioned the name ‘’Mardoc’’. Mardoc (as we have already discussed) – was a mythical Ruler and Explorer who many felt may have very well discovered North America many Centuries before The Spanish Explores did. In the 19th Century however, Archaeology had advanced enough to decry The Stone as a ‘’hoax’’ – (although no one is quite sure how a Farmer with little overall education could manage an Ancient Welsh language). Some Historians ‘’date’’ The Stone to around the 1790s – others feel it is in fact, genuine!
