The Boulder Mountain Encounter

The Boulder Mountains in Northern Montana are often a prime destination spot for Hunters, Campers and Outdoorsmen and have been for many decades. In The Summer of 1940, a Gold Miner was working His Claim in The Mountains when He experienced something that few Humans ever have. He not only ''saw'' The Landing of an Alien Craft, He also communicated with it's Occupants. This Miner kept His encounter ''to Himself'' until just before His death in 1989 (for fear no one would believe Him).

A ''Water Miner'' (using water to remove earth), The Miner had completed His daily task and decided to return to His Camp. It was at this point, The Miner saw a ''bright Light'' in The Sky, beginning to descend on His position. The closer this ''Light'' got, the more The Miner could make out the ''shape of a Saucer-like'' Craft. This Object appeared to ''land'' by hovering several feet off the ground. It made no sound and all surround ''sounds of Nature'' stopped as well. In complete awe, The Miner froze. The Miner noticed that The Object was encircled by a ''clear glowing shield-like'' substance. He dared not approach (more out of fear). Within minutes, an ''opening appeared'' in the side of this Object and out stepped a ''Being''. The Creature ''appeared Human'' (or Humanoid). His Face looked ''featureless'', without lines or creases. When The Being ''spoke'' it's ''voice sounded like a normal Human voice''.

The Being ''asked'' The Miner if ''He could take some of His water from the nearby stream''. The Miner agreed. Without a word, a long ''hose-like object extended from The Object, and touched the stream''. The Being asked The Miner ''if He would like to come inside''. For some reason His fear abated. In fact, The Miner stated ''He felt at great peace''. The Miner was asked to simply ''walk through'' the ''shield'' (which He did). The Being took Him inside The Craft. The Miner stated that the inside of The Craft seemed ''much larger that it appeared from the outside''. Once inside, He noticed ''strange electronic equipment of which He could not even remotely identify''. The Being stated that ''They'' were ''Explorers of both Time and Space''. The Being also offered that ''His Race does not reckon time as Humans do'', and that their ''current Mission would be translated to 900 years in Human Time''. Showing The Miner ''around'' His Craft The Being attempted to explain ''how His Craft worked''. But The ''simple'' Miner readily admitted later that He had little ''schooling and could not understand''. After what only seemed 20-minutes, The Being stated that it was time to leave. Escorted from The Craft, and back out through ''The Shield'', The Being said that ''His People would continue to visit and make contact with Humankind''. ''He'' alluded to the fact that ''His Race had done so for Centuries of Our Time''. The Miner watched as The Craft slowly ''lifted off'' and few off at an ''incredible speed''. As stated, The Miner felt that telling anyone about His ''encounter'' would have produced nothing but ridicule. But, after many years of reading and hearing of similar encounters, He decided to tell an Investigator from a Private Reporting Organization which specializes in such incidents (else no one would have ever known of His rather amazing tale.
