Perhaps on the the first Modern photographs of UFOs can be credited to Astronomer Jose Bonilla. In 1881, he was observing Solar activity on The Sun, when we captured (using the primitive photographic process of the Day, at The Zacatecas Observatory in Mexico) more that 300 dark, cylindrical-shaped Objects, that streaked across the face of The Sun and (appeared) to heading for Earth's Moon. He was able to make 33 different photographs of the Objects. Today, it is speculated that he had in reality seen the fragments of a Comet breaking up into The Sun. (Still...........)
