NOT a British Hammer Studio’s Horror Film, Tigon Films ‘’The Blood Beast Terror’’ (1968) is extremely plodding BUT well worth the views of it’s ‘’Monster’’ (eventually!). Staring Peter Cushing (one wonders why) – as a Police Detective in 19th Century England, investigates a series of murders where Male victims are found drained of blood. After consulting with a World Renown Bug Expert – we learn Doc has been ‘’growing’’ a Human-Moth Hybrid. What He achieves is a ‘’Were-Moth’’ (seriously). The Hybrid (during the daylight hours and when NOT hungry) – masquerades as The Daughter of The Doctor. When ‘’hungry’’ – She changes into a giant Moth that needs Human Blood to survive. The Doc’s main goal? Try and breed a Mate for Her! So bad, it’s good at parts – ‘’Blood Beast’’ is still classic Horror Genre from the late 1960s (if you’re a Fan).
