What was seen as a ''campy'' independent Film of 1999 that no saw ''coming'', ''The Blair Witch Project'' became an overnight World Hit. The film is seen as launching the ''Found Footage'' genre in Horror Films. Spawning several sequels and a ''Mockumentary'', many in The World thought that the Film was ''real'' to some extent. When shown on Theater screens, some viewers experienced symptoms similar to ''motion sickness'', which only added hype to The Movie.  In truth, The Film was loosely based on the real 19th Century case from America, known as The ''Bell Witch Haunting'' (and was well documented). The premise of ''Blair Witch'' deals with (3) Filom Students who travel to an out of the way Maryland (US) Township, to investigate a two century old ''curse'' involving a ''tormented'' woman (supposedly a witch) in the 17th Century. Disappearing into ''spooky old woods'' She was never found. But thru the years, many children (and others) - have disappeared, leading locals to believe that it Her curse that is the cause. This curse also alludes to a 1950s child abductor and murderer who (when captured), claimed ''The Witch made Him do it''.

As The Students go to various locations of interest in The Woods to film Their Documentary, strange things begin to happen. They find hundreds of strange talismen made of wood, hanging from trees. Worse, for some reason - the Students cannot find a way ''out of'' the ''spooky woods''. Time seems to stand still as well as We (as viewers) watch as some unknown ''supernatural Entity'' begins to take out The Students.....one by one! In the end, the abd of recorded film tapes are found (by The Police), who find little ''rationale'' reason for just ''what happened to the Students''. The compilation of these tapes are the film the Viewer ''watches'' in Theaters. The last 5 minutes of ''Blair Witch'' are perhaps the scariest of all...especially in ''The Dark''. Give It A Try........
