The Black Sun

An Occult symbol related to German (Nazi) Occultism, The ''Black Sun'' was said to have been designed by SS Leader Heinrich Himmler around 1936. However, some evidence shows that The Symbol may actually go back as far as The Merovingian Dynasty of the 5th Century AD. Himmler had the symbol included on a floor design in Wewelsburg Castle, Germany. Since 1945, The ''Black Sun'' has been linked to Satanism and Neo-Nazi Movements. The overall design is based on ''Sig Runes'' or Double slanted ''S'' (eg ''SS ) - which would be the image/insignia adopted by Himmler's infamous ''Storm Troopers''.
