Perhaps a Myth, perhaps an undiscovered Species or proof that Prehistoric Life has evolved into our Age, The Story of The Black Demon is at best intriguing. Somewhat Modern in tale (or at least related as such), the first reports came from 2008 and the Southern Coast of San Diego, California. Stretching from that location to The Gulf of California, Sailors both Commercial and Private stated that they would see huge Dorsal Fins breaking the surface. The few times seen in daylight, the Beast was Black in color . Most accounts describe it as a Shark-like creature . Most reports stopped by 2012, with them becoming less frequently so. The few photographs of The Demon are even more inconclusive. However, in nearby Mexico, the legend is known as La Demonico Negro . Seen for Centuries, the several stories take on a more scientific meaning.

Over 25 Million years ago, a Species of Shark existed in fossil records, which has become identified as Megladon or more commonly Super Shark . Close to the length of a small Submarine, these Prehistoric Masters of The Sea , ranged from 25 to 60-feet in length and several thousand tons in weight. With much of The Ocean uncharted and unexplored, it could be feasible for Megladon to have survived in the deep Sea for millennia, no doubt misidentified for Centuries when it did appear . Time and Science will have to wait and see .
