The Berwyn Mountain Encounter

Considered by some to be a Roswellian Incident , The Berwyn Mountain Range is located in North Wales. On January 23, 1974, a bright streak of light was reported flying over the mountains. The colors were described as yellow and red . Many witnesses stated that they felt that it was NOT a meteor or comet, and appeared to be a controlled descent . Around 1 A.M. A huge explosion was heard and the earth began to tremble. Many said they could see the faint glow of something on top of The Berwyns. Local Authorities were alerted. Now it gets strange. Within several hours, Military aircraft, trucks and LOTS of soldiers appear at this somewhat REMOTE spot in The Berwyns. Normally, not used for Military Training, it was strange to have the Government there (let alone at 3 A.M.) All little civilian traffic was tightly controlled. After the Military left (8 hours later), curious citizens went to inspect the area. The location on top of The Berwyns appeared to look like a severe fire had broken out. Oddly, trees and bushes appeared to have been all bent in the same direction. It is said to this day, trees and plants won't grown in the area. The Government said nothing of the incident, save that a 3.5 Earthquake DID occur in the area (and was felt as far as The City of London).
