The US made 1946 ''Horror/Thriller'' – ''The Beast With Five Fingers'', is an unusual piece of ''mass produced'' Horror and related Thriller Films made right after World War II. Part Horror and mostly Psychological Thriller, The Film deals with a former World known Pianist, who suffers a stroke and loses His ability to play. Withdrawn and recluse, the wealthy Pianist is surrounded by ''greedy'' friends and relatives, eager to impress and eventually ''cash in'' on His Will. When His Will is ''changed'' to reflect the least favored Relative, Our Pianist is found dead from a fall down the stairs (assuming it was an accident). Soon after the reading of The Will, strange things start to happen in The Mansion. Relatives begin to be found attacked and killed by a disembodied Hand (wearing the Signet Ring of the former Pianist). ''Crawling'' along The House, ''It'' will eventually be destroyed by fire after the last of the Family Relatives are dead. It is determined by Police that several conspiring Family Members did in fact murder The Pianist, and the murderer used a ''robot Hand'' to terrorize the others. But survivors cite that with the murder avenged, The ''Beast'' was now at rest. A different type of Horror Classic, filmed well in Black and White to enhance ''atmosphere'', as well as the ''creepy'' Piano music in the background.
