The title of this 1956 B&W American-Made B -Movie (Low Budget), is somewhat misleading. As the story goes, an Alien life form crashes in The American Southwest (as they always do right ). Being a non-corporeal Entity, it has the power to take over Human and animal minds (hence a million eyes of Terrestrial origin). It can control organisms this way (as a way to conqueror and takeover a World). It brought with it from the Crash, the last creature it took over . This Alien life form is an Insect-like, fanged creature. The Being feeds off of hate (which he -or she), can make lower life forms feel through cruel acts. The Hero and Heroine of the film (a pair of young Ranchers) are in love . Such extreme happiness causes the Being to be incapable of mind control . The Alien decides the best form to take on Earth is that of a Rat. Thus he goes around Town spreading fear through mind control. Our Heroes finally trap the Alien and crush it (killing it before it can exit the Rodent body). Made in 1956, The Beast With A Million Eyes was Drive-In Movie fare (often shown as a Late Night Double Feature. Produced by (later) American B Movie Legend Roger Corman (of Little Shop of Horrors and the Edgar Allen Poe AIP films), this was one of Corman's first pieces.
