Reported to be a huge, 200 pound Black Panther-like beast, The Beast of Exmoor was first reported in the 1970s in Exmoor National Park, West Somerset, England. It has been known to kill (and had eaten) over 100 sheep in 2 months in 1983. No one is quite sure how this huge feline-beast got into the Park (or if in fact there are more than just one). Panthers normally live 12-15 years. The Beast of Exmoor (if it is still the one and only) has beaten that record. Said to be described in various colors (from Black, Tan and Dark Gray), it has been said that The Beast was seen jumping a 6-foot wall with great ease . There has been MANY photos taken (at distance, of course) of The Beast. Many Hunting Expeditions have been lead (without capture).
