A British Amicus Studios Horror ‘’Flop’’ from 1974 – ‘’The Beast Must Die’’ took classical elements of Mystery ‘’Who-Done-It’’ Writer Agatha Christie and merged it with a Tale about a Werewolf. A sort of ‘’10 Little Indians’’ version (with fangs), The Film was not as well received as Producers hoped. It quickly reverted to ‘’Double Feature’’ Fare at many Drive-In Theaters, despite it’s rather well known Cast of Actors. In short, a Group of six once well-known and now disgraced Celebrities from different strengths all gather at the island Home of a wealthy Friend (to all of them). Each of them come from a corner of The World where reports of ‘’Wolf-like’’ killings are rampant. Determining that one of these persons is in fact, a real Werewolf, The Host begins to put the Group thru a series of Tests to determine the real one (and then kill them). Short on any real special effects gimmickry – even The Werewolf is nothing more than a large Mastiff. Seriously……PASS!
