Possible one of the oldest of the Lake Monsters , the first recorded sighting of this Freshwater Sea Serpent was in the 8th Century. Living in Lake Banyoles (Eastern Spain), the creature was describes as having a long snake-like head connected to a large (50 foot) circular body, It was propelled by 4 fin-like feet. The Banyoles Monster has fangs and a large serpentine mouth. More than one have been reported through the centuries. Although no current sightings have been reported in the last 200 years, it is still said to live in the depths of the Lake.
