A very strange archaeological find from The Northern Peten Region of Guatemala (South America), shows a ‘’Ball Player’’ of The Ullamaliztli Sport. Players of Teams jockeyed to pass a Stone Ball thru a small opening, high on a Pillar. These games required great athletic skill and endurance – for they often are seen as a combination of Basketball, Hockey and Polo. But in most cases, Players stripped down to practically nothing. This gave them speed as well as an Opponent NOT being able to grab anything to stop or slow them down. Therefore, the naming by Archaeologists of The ‘’Ball Player of Guatemala’’ is queer. Carved between the 5th and 8th Century AD, This ‘’Ball Player’’ is heavily adorned in some sort of ‘’device’’ as well as a ‘’heavy outer suit’’. In fact, rather than ‘’playing Ball’’ – ‘’He’’ appears to preparing for ‘’flight’’. Some cite the resemblance to a ‘’Rocket Pack’’, more than some kind of ‘’ceremonial ball player’’ clothing.
